The Spot is a new media production and performance facility to be located in Oshawa, Ontario.The Spot offers artists of all genres a location to produce, and exhibit their work by providing facilities, talent and equipment resources in order to encourage collaboration and learning.
The only facility of its kind in Oshawa, The Spot also provides artists an opportunity to monetize their work by hosting and broadcasting performances, exhibits, as well as offering consignment space for merchandise.
The Spot is a storefront split into a jam space, staging area, sound booth, and storage.Located in Downtown Oshawa, The Spot is situated to maximize frontage exposure, and ease of access to transit.
Our hours of operation are Sunday to Thursday noon to 10, Friday and Saturday noon to midnight.

The Spot offers important display and canvass space for visual artists. – Murals: In keeping with Oshawa’s mural tradition, The Spot sports exterior display windows and& interior wall panels for visual arts production. &– Exhibitions: We offer two wall panels for art exhibition.

The Spot provides an important distribution outlet for artist work. Merchandise: We carry a selection of music, prints, clothing, confectionery, and other related merchandise.

We provide artists of all kinds studio and exhibition space to produce works of visual art, video, photography, music, poetry, dance, and theatre.
Artists are currently underserved in this community as there is limited space and resources available for them to produce and perform their work. Artists who produce and perform at The Spot are offered access to an international audience through live broadcasts on the internet.
Artists will be recruited via word of mouth, and online on sites such as facebook, myspace, and other internet listings.
Patrons of all ages will enjoy a variety of performances catering to a wide range of tastes. The Spot is one of the only a handful of venues in Durham hosting all ages events, and the only multi-purpose facility of its kind.
Live Entertainment consumers in Downtown Oshawa and Durham are served on several levels by The GM Centre, as well as The Regent Theatre, and a smattering of smaller live musical performance venues.
The Spot was conceived to serve the niche between The Regent Theatre, and the local bar. Audiences young and old are currently underserved there are limited all ages venues, and the restricted use of local bars as live music venues only.
The Spot offers international audiences a place to discover new experiences in entertainment, by tuning in to our live broadcasts on the internet.
Patrons will be enlisted via word of mouth, online on sites such as facebook and myspace, as well as show promotion done through print, online, and community press.
Corporate and other public entities wishing to communicate their message in a unique way will find opportunities at The Spot to juxtapose their brand to cutting edge, home grown works of art and performance.
